Today, we handed up our Macromedia assignment. FINALLY COMPLETED IT!! Spent about a week on it. Last week, had the help of tse hwee to edit the picture I wanted to use for the background of my dreamweaver pages.

I then concluded that I needed 6 pages for my web page, namely index, pictures, videos, flash and links to some of my classmates’ CIP blogs. Next, I learnt how to link up the pages.I first decided and drew my hotspots on the word ‘fragile’ on my picture. To link the pages, I used the .htm prefix. After linking the rest of the 5 pages to the index page, I then tested the web page by pressing [F12]. However, I could only access the other 5 pages once. Also, I was unable to move from one page to another, eg: from links to pics. I then realized that I needed to link all the 6 pages to one another in order for them to be able to access from each other.

Next, I started putting in the pictures, songs and videos into my web page. The pictures and songs worked well, after putting the code- autostart=”false” to prevent video clips and songs from playing all at once. However, the video clips could play at first as I didn’t put a copy of them in the macromedia folder I created.

Lastly, it was the flash document which proved the hardest to complete. Had the help of tse hwee again to help me with the motion tween and all. Spent about an hour doing the whole ‘show’. Although it was a very short one, about 13 seconds. I still feel proud of it. Haha. =)

And on the night of Jan 12, I attempted to save my work in the cd for submission. However, I found out that I did not have a copy of my background and all the others picture in the folder and thus they cannot be seen when saved into the cd. Worked on that, and finally at 1am, managed to complete the whole macromedia assignment. =)
