Do you think the syllabus covered is appropriate? Is this what you expect in the module? If not, can you suggest what other useful topics to be included in CIP, OR what topics should not have been included at all (if any)?

I feel that the syllabus covered is appropriate as it is appropriate for us, as those are skills that we may need to use when we step into the working society next time. Skills that I find are useful to our future working life are like using Microsoft Word to draft our PBL 1 proposal. However, skills like using Macromedia Flash wasn’t as appropriate as we don’t need them as much as we need Word. But it was still fun learning those skills. Yes, this was what I expected in the module. I expected the module to better prepare us for drafting reports when we are working next time and it did.

Are the workshops on MS Word, Powerpoint & Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash interesting & useful? Are these appropriate in developing your IT hands-on skills?

I find workshops on MS Word interesting as I didn’t know Word has so much more functions that I am not aware of. For the other workshops, it also improved my awareness of how these programs can help me in future. They are all useful as we would most probably need them next time in our working life. I find these programs appropriate in developing my IT hands-on skills. Workshops enable us to ‘experiment’ with the various programs and made me discover some interesting functions that would not have been known to me otherwise.

Are the PBL problems authentic enough for you to learn better? Does it provide an opportunity for you to work effectively in teams as well as develop problem solving skills?

Yes, I feel that PBL problems are authentic enough for me to learn better. Cases given to us well depict what could possibly happen in any offices. It more or less prepare us with the basic skills needed to deal with such problems. It also provide me with an opportunity to work effectively in teams as well as develop problem solving skills on our own and as a group. Putting us in teams would also us with a chance to have a taste of how are we going to be like working in teams in the future.

Are the lecturers and tutors helpful in your learning? Is the class size of 40 a good size for effective learning?

I feel that lecturers and tutors are helpful in my learning. As lecturers teach and tutors assist us in our PBL problems by asking relevant questions that stimulate either to think more in depth or search or answer. I find that the class of 40 is just nice for effective learning.

If there is 1 thing that you can change in CIP, what would it be?

I would like to change the deadlines of the PBL problems as I feel that PBL 2 came to fast for us to cope, after we finished PBL 1.

If there is at least 1 useful thing that you appreciate in CIP, what would it be?

I appreciate the module’s objective to educate us so that we are better equipped with computer skills.
